Birthday Girl

Happy Birthday to ME...

Two weeks ago, hehe

Because we have SO much family that all live right by us, we can't seem to not make the birthday celebrations a week long event! And this year I was SO grateful that it worked out that way because my actual birthday I ended up being sick with the flu, along with my dad, brother, and husband. So most of my "big day" was spent sleeping in bed with Brands... Not that it was a bad thing, I actually enjoyed being lazy with the hubbers for a change!

The Saturday before my birthday, Brandon took me shopping. This in of it's self was a gift to me because Brandon hates going to the mall and I love it, so it was nice to drag him from store to store while he tried to smile all the while! Then we went to our favorite restaurant, Happy Sumo, for dinner. It was Delicious! 

That Sunday my whole family got together and we celebrated with a Tri-Tip dinner Brandon made. I got super spoiled by my family, thanks FAM! My sisters got me dresses, shirts, shoes, accessories... basically anything a girl could want to spice up her wardrobe. My parents got me new bedding for that new master bedroom I hope to someday SOON have! Right now I sleep on the KING size bed in my parents guest bedroom and Brands and I are losers and only have a QUEEN (in storage) so therefore, I look at my new bedding, all packaged still, and am anxious for the day I can display it on my bed! 

After presents we had ice cream cake, the best kind in the world, and then played some cards where I kicked every ones trash! It was a good day.

Like I said, on the actual B-day I was really sick. I started the morning out not feeling too hot and then Brands came home from work feeling super sick. I went to lunch with the sisters and the kids, but could barely eat my meal and was feeling sicker by the minuet. I came home and crashed on the bed next to Brandon and didn't move until we had to get up to meet his family for dinner.

Brandon was feeling much better by the time we got our meal at Red Lobster but I was doing good just to eat some crackers and pick at my shrimp... It wasn't as depressing as it sounds. Brent, Brenda, and all the kids definitely lifted my birthday spirits and I was so glad I went to dinner instead of sitting at home! The fam got me a new Sensy pot with some wax refills and some good ol' cash for shopping. I was sure to put the cash to good use once I was feeling better ;)

After a full night of sleep, I was feeling sick still but had more energy and less achy. My mom and sisters took me to lunch which made me feel even better. We always go to lunch as sisters with our mom for our birthday's. It seems like the only time we have a valid excuse to ditch the kids. It was a lot of fun and even though I was still kinda sick, it was refreshing to be just us girls!

Later that night my cute girlfriends took me to dinner. Bree called me like a week before my birthday and had planned a dinner with all our old High School friends. They surprised me and took me to Typanyaki (sp?)! By the time night came around I was feeling like a new person and I ate like I haven't in two days! It was a blast catching up with old friends and it made my birthday even better!

I guess I am as spoiled as you can get because I have so many friends and family who party it up with me even when I am sick! It was a great birthday and that's saying A LOT considering how sick I was. As always, now that my birthday is over, I feel more loved then ever to have the people around me who bless my life!
