Leslie LeRoy Schroeppel 1929 - 2011

This is my Grandpa Schroeppel's obituary (Below the picure) he passes away last Sunday early in the morning. He is truthfully one of the best men I have ever known. He always had good stories to tell or a funny song about EVERYTHING. I am one of the 49 grandkids but he always made me, and all my cousins, feel like I was still special to him and always called me by name (Sadly, I still can't remember all my cousins names). He always had me smiling with his sarcastic sense of humour. I loved that he is as tough as nails but will cry like a baby at... anything really, he had a warm and loving heart. Grandma and Grandpa joined the LDS church four years after they were married (already had 3 kids, my dad was #4 of the 11) and have been steadfast members ever since. Grandpa was a hard worker, never said no to a opportunity to serve, and loved my Grandma with all his heart and let his children and grandchildren know it too! I look up to him so much and I feel HONORED to be a part of this Schroeppel family.
With joining the church and doing all the genealogy and temple work Grandma and Grandpa had done I am sure that there is a nice group that is keeping him company on the "other side" while he waits for his sweetheart to join him. Although I will miss him dearly, I am happy this his mission is this life is over and he can be in peace in a much better place!
