Another Attempt to be a Domestic Goddess

I get these ideas... soon follows my mission to carry out all these crazy ideas. I wont stop until I get it done! So this time it was pillows until 3 AM.

I always see on HGTV designers sewing pillows and curtians that just match the room perfectly! I always see fabric and say, I wish I could sew and custom make a room just how I want it! So in my quest to be a domestic Goddess I decided it's time to learn! Since I grew up in a non-domestic home (sorry mom but I don't even think I have seen your sew a button) this is knowledge that I am lacking. And since we bought my mom a sewing machine 4 years ago that she has never used (further proving my point) I stole it and began my mission!

This was the first set and my favorite! The pillow in the back is my number one favorite and Brandon HATES the pattern. But he is very proud of my work... that's just because he doesn't know better.

FYI: These look MUCH better from a distance!

The second round was the two pillows closest to the front. I don't LOVE how the floral one turned out but the cream is simple and classic. The far back Green one was one I already had... Come on people I am not the AMAZING KYLIE, that one is out of my limited skill range!

The best part is these two were once place mats. I have seen this done on HGTV and then while in my quest I was reminded of it on a friends blog! So simple! I went to Target (aka: death to my bank account) and found two place mats for $2! Unstitched part of the seam, stuffed it full of fluff and stitched it back up! Instant pillows that look awesome!

*Post Edit*: Here you go April, the complete look!

So I will keep you all posted on my journey in my attempts at being a Domestic Goddess!
