38 weeks- Our Own March Madness

I am 38 weeks TODAY! I had Irelyn at 5:13pm when I was 38 weeks to the day, so this is officially the longest I have ever been pregnant!

Everyone in this family is getting excited and anxious for Reese to come. Irey keeps talking to my belly saying, "It's ok, just come out now baby Reese!" She talks to my belly a lot. She also talks a lot about Reese and what we are going to do when she gets here. She will say things like, "When baby Reese comes, daddy and I are going to steamroll her!" Oh dear I just simple cant wait! She talks a lot about the hospital and is VERY excited to go see Reese when she is born. It makes me even more excited when I hear Irey talk about her.

Brandon is just as anxious for Reese to come as I am. He is convinced she is coming on the 31st of March, which is a Thursday. I hope he is right for BOTH out sakes. This up coming week would be the perfect week for her to come... and the following week, the first week of April, would be the worst week so naturally she will likely come the following week. But the first week of April isn't so bad either. I would just rather it been sooner;)

In the spirit of March Madness and the fact that I am simply going mad, we decided to do a little betting on Reese. My family got together this Sunday for dinner and after we ate the adults placed bets on height, weight, and due date. We each be a dollar for each category so the best guesser of each category has a chance to win $11, very exciting! The dollars was just for the spirit of March Madness but the real fun was what everyone thought the turn out will be!

I went to the doctors on Tuesday last week and I am not dilated at all but I am 50% effaced. He said he would rather see me being effaced then dilated, so I was very happy to hear there is some progress happening. I go again this Tuesday and see if I am making progress. If at 39 weeks I go in and there isn't much progress then we will probably schedule the c-section for most likely the 11th which is the day after my due date. I REALLY want to have this VBAC but I also accept that my body may not be able to go into labor on it's own and that a c-section may end up being the safest option for Reese and I. But I PRAY my body is up to the challenge of not only going into labor but progressing, because I think it would be really neat to have that experience!
I am trying to stay busy, but a lot of my clients remembered that last time I went early and so I have been busy busy busy fitting everyone in. Now with two weeks to go I only have a few clients this week and am not scheduling any the week after this one, so if I don't have this baby soon, I have WAY to much time on my hands! I am trying to keep my mind occupied but night time comes and I am a anxious mess! I have been sleeping terribly between the anxiety and my back, so I am feeling super ornery and tired. Heaven help my sweet husband and Irey who have been so loving with me! Lets just pray Reese is ready to come much sooner rather then later!

My due date is April 10th, I WONT go over the 11th.

Irey was born, like I said, two weeks early. She weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was 17 1/2 inches long!
