Families Can be Together Forever

The day finally came! On October 25th, 2008 Brandon, Irelyn, and I got sealed to each other for time and all eternity.

The temple is an amazing place. I feel privileged to go inside and be apart of the sacredness of it. I feel so blessed that I got to be sealed to my husband. That now I have the blessing of knowing that not even mortality can stand between us. Looking across at Brandon I was overjoyed. But words could truly not express what we felt when they brought Irelyn into us. Our angel dressed in white. She was beautiful. It was more then touching to have our baby sealed to us. Even when she spit up all over her gorgeous blessing dress and her dad, I didn't even care, nothing could change how amazing that moment was. We were bound forever. Not even a sealer who rushed through the whole thing, had not one sentimental word to say, not even that could change the fact it was one of the most wonderful day of my life. A eternal Christmas.

And the next day Brandon had the privilege of blessing Irelyn. Thanks again Jamie for your house and to all the friends and family who came to support us and helped out with the event. Brandon did a amazing job. I am so proud of him, he gave a beautiful blessing. And Irelyn only cried through half of it. Then the second her daddy handed her to me she feel asleep in my arms. She has had a big weekend. But it was a beautiful weekend.

I feel so blessed to be able to be apart of something so powerful and strong as this Gospel. I love how it is reflected in my family. It's been a crazy week but now that it's all over I look back and have nothing but a smile cemented in place.

I had Tiff take pics at the temple and my dad took pics at the blessing, so i will post more when I get them. I didn't take any myself, these I took of my sisters blog. :)

What a wonderful weekend! I agree, there is nothing like the feeling you get being sealed to your family...especially the little one! When they brought Rylie in the room, it was so incredible, so I know exactly how you feel! Don't you kinda wish you were able to do this with your kids to come? It is such a neat thing! I'm so happy for you ; ) CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations! I love reading your thoughts on motherhood and life. They parallel what I'm thinking but don't know how to express accurately.

Congratulations on getting sealed!! Everything you've said, about the Gospel and the temple - so true, I COMPLETELY agree! I'm not normally a crier, but I still cry every time I go, because I can't help but think about how lucky I am to be worthy to go. That's so exciting, I'm so happy for you!!
