A few of my favorite things...

The sun is shining and the weather is warm! It makes me think of all the wonderful things in my life starting with my cute little family!

#1: Brandon! The love of my life, my other half, and the father to my child...what more can I say? Oh there is so much more! Not only was I lucky and blessed enough to find someone who loves ALL of me but he is my match in every possible way. The longer I am married the further it proves my theory that what we have is rare and meant to be! No worries meant to be or not we still have our fights :) so don't gag just yet. But there is no one I would rather fight with OR make up with! Brandon is the hardest working, most loving, caring, thoughtful, selfless, and compassionate man I know. He is everything I hope to someday be... so he for sure makes the list for a favorite!

My other #1: Who couldn't love this girl. He personality is beaming with brightness and love. She is JOY! My happiness belongs to this girl! When she is not busy throwing my phone in the garbage or the remote in the toilet, she is my best friend. I hate going anywhere with out her because she lights me up all day long. Every one needs to see two things from Irey; her awesome dance moves and her STRANGE sleeping habits. I cannot say enough about how funny this kid is. From her expressions to her dancing abilities that far exceed my own, I couldn't love this girl more. She is a busy little thing and I don't mean typical one year old busy, I mean like keep you running all day long never stops going unless you make her take a nap, kind of busy. But I love the kid and wouldn't change a thing about her!

#2: SUMMER!!! I love the beach and the fact that I will be on a beach in less then 2 1/2 months! That's right, it's cruising time for the Blackwell's, well not Irey (sorry kid- we still love ya). Last month we booked our Mexican Riviera cruise. Everyone is still freaking out about the swine flu (ask your doctors, I did, and it was way over hyped) so our cruise keeps going down in price and we get a refund each time! But other then my vacation I am just simply excited for the pool, sun, BBQs, and smiles all day long because warmth makes me happy!

#3: My new Dyson ball and Swiffer wetjet. Why are these on my list? Well these two make cleaning my house... dare I say, fun!? Ok I didn't loose my mind. I do like the feeling of getting my house all clean so I was already OCD about it but now it's so much easier. The swiffer just has it all right there in the palm of my hand, all I do is push a button! And if there is something really stuck on the floor (thanks Irey) then no worries is had a scrubbing side! Oh and the Dyson... come on it's a Dyson, they engineer them to be fun. Enough said!

#4: Ok this one I admit is a guilt pleasure. You think that a game you started playing when you were in 5th grade would retire at LEAST before high school? Well the Sims geniuses keep pulling me back in with expansion packs and then, WHAT, Sims 3!? It gets more advanced and what can I say? I love it! But come on who doesn't want to manipulate peoples lives. Yes, I have a on again off again Sims addiction. Whatever! You can laugh, but just don't judge.

#5: Work. I know my list is weird because work would not normally be on any ones favorite list. But I LOVE my job! I get to play hair and talk all day! I make the hours I want to work and the day flies by. It's a nice change in the week and it keeps things interesting. I love my clients, they are the easiest and nicest people to get along with! I love doing my own thing, I am just very independent like that. I never feel like work takes away from Irey so I don't feel guilt for being a working mom. But most of all I feel lucky to have a job! When Brandon got laid off in December I felt so blessed to know that I have something that can keep us going. Lucky for us he found a better job but I will always be grateful to have this job, I have felt so blessed to have this career and the opportunities it has opened up to me.

The reason for my list? I feel so blessed. I am overwhelmed by it. In this world today with the media talking about the economy, murder, more death, more debt, more depressing things, I am more inclined to stick my head in the sand and think about my favorite things. Heavenly Father has blessed me with so much and I am so grateful. I could talk about how things are hard too but instead I choose to see the glass half full and see the good in whats going on in my life!
