Miss Irey Jane and Her Awesome Adventures

There hasn't been a post about Irey in a while... so with a overload of pictures it's time to update on what has been happening with this interesting little gal.

First of all we have officially set a date of surgery for November 5th! We had been up and down, back and forth and decided surgery will be the best thing for her in the long run. Dr. Downey will perform the surgery at Primary Children's Hospital . We expect she will be there 3 to 7 days depending on her recovery.

This was taken after she was coming out of sedation for another CT scan... ok she never had to come out considering because she never fully sedated. They always give her way more then they plan and she always is 50% awake. Hopefully they will have a much easier time knocking her out for surgery because it is really sad to hold a squirming baby who doesn't know whats wrong with her body. It breaks my heart every time. We will be glad when this is all behind us.

But few things slow Irey down. Her personality is bursting at the seams, she is just so full of it. She loves to get in our closet and pull our my jewelry and shoes and thinks she is such big stuff when she puts them on. These are dad's shoes and she was feeling really proud of herself being able to wear them.

Did I mention yet that she is full of herself? Miss Jane was born loving her refection, not that I blame her because she is so stinking cute but I don't want a brat on my hands!

Good thing she has her goofy side to balance her out... She is a NUT CASE! I love it!

Her favorite thing is to play hide and go seek. She could do it for hours and laughs every time. It never gets old for her. She cracks us up. She is also really good and telling us what the kitty, doggy, cow, and fish say... so now instead of saying the words she just makes the sounds. Well cant win them all. My favorite is instead of meow it's just oooowwwww all drawn out and dramatic... where does she get it from? hehe

Speaking of dramatic, Irey is VERY animated. She will just sit there making faces at you or innocent people walking by at the store or sitting behind us at church. Her favorite thing is to say HI over and over again to everyone she sees then continues makes her crazy faces. Like I said, my kid is a nut!

loves to sit by the front door to read her books. She also likes to take your finger and lead you all around the house insisting that your follow her. IF you stop she will wait, IF you no longer follow her....




There is sure to be a temper tantrum that follows! And so it begins... sometimes I miss when she was a little less animated.

No worries, as quickly as it came, it passes just as quickly and I get my happy bubbly baby back!

Irey keeps Brandon and I laughing all the time. She is a wild thing but is also a sweetheart with a personality that lights you up. She is joy. Simply put she brings a smile to your face and makes you laugh. I am so lucky to have this ray of sunshine in my life!
