Mia Belle Gillman

She finally made her grand entrance!

But before  we get into that,

A little recap of the shower 5 days before her birth...

We have a GREAT and very supportive group of girlfriends so whenever someone has a baby we can't help but have a little mini shower for them. We would get each other gifts anyways so for Jamie all of us sisters (that includes the in-law too) put together a dinner shower for her and baby Mia (who didn't have a name at that time).

I was so impressed with the turn out AND how many people went in on the group gift! Because of everyone going in on the gift we were able to get Jamie and baby Mia a new car seat, a darling outfit that she will be wearing in her newborn pics, and some cash for mommy when she is ready to go shopping again! It was a great turn out and I feel so lucky to know these girls and have their support. Good friends are a rare find!

Okay, back to Mia's arrival...

She was born July 13th and 8:09 am weighing in at 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 18 1/2 in. long. She has a great amount of beautiful black hair. She came out screaming and yellin' but once she was settled in mom's arms and fed, she hasn't really made much of a peep since!

Mia, so far, has been a angel of a baby. I seriously never see her awake and she hardly ever cries! Even though she had a bad case of jaundice (sp?) and had to be at home under the lights, she is still as healthy and can be, which we know what a blessing that is in this family.

I am so in love! I just want to hold her and kiss her and love her all day long. Lucky for me Jamie lives down the street and I have found plenty of excuses to make my way over there once a day, just to give her a love!

Mommy Jamie is doing great! It was by far her most painful C-Section but the recovery has been a smooth one. Jamie even got to come home from the hospital a day early.

Daddy Luke is in heaven. Just watching him makes me tear up because he is so crazy about his little girls. He has always adored Hallie and now it's double the fun to see him dote on another little princess! Something about a little girl with her daddy is just SO sweet!

Hunter and Hallie are adjusting to the newest sibling. Hallie had a rough go at first, being such a mama's girl and all, but she has warmed up to Mia now and calls her Jenna. We have no clue why? Hunter is in heaven, he loves having another sister. He doesn't have to share his guns and boy toys with her so for him he doesn't mind being out numbered!

For me, I have loved watching Irey with Mia. It makes me excited for her to someday have a little sibling. She LOVES babies and Mia, who she calls Leela, (again no idea why?) is all she can talk about! She loves to hold her, pat her bum, and give her endless amounts of kisses. She is a little mommy already!

We are all so happy she is here. And now I am sure she is wishing she can go back because she never stops getting loves from Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas, Grandpas, cousins, and family friends. She is very adored and she isn't even a week old yet!
