Birthdays for January

January is always such a slow month but a busy one for birthdays.

On the 16th it was Brianna's birthday. We went to one of her favorite restaurants, Los Hermonos. Our waiter was full of personality and sang his heart out to her in his big hat. I forgot my camera but as we all expected she turned bright pink and pulled her "ghost face" which is how she got her nickname, Bony Ghost. You have to see that face to understand the nickname. Once I did, it made complete sense.

We are so grateful for Bony in our lives! She is the strong silent type but once she opens up she is one of the best people I know. She is SO talented at soccer and is a great aunt to Irey. She has been such a great sister to Brandon through the years, they have always been so close. She is so much fun to hang out with and very down to earth. I feel bad for the poor boy she will be bringing home someday. He does not stand a chance with a protective big brother like Brandon and he will run scared from me! We love you so much Brianna, we think the world of you.

Happy Birthday Bones!

The next birthday is Grandpa Jack! We celebrated in style with a big 70th birthday party. All his old friends (literally they are old) came to say happy birthday along with brothers, sisters, kids, and grand kids. There were a lot of people there to support our Gpa and that's because he is a great man. Jack never fails to let all of his girls know that we are his dolls. He is harder working then anyone I know and will do anything for anyone.

Lastly, we have Jamie. Her birthday was the 21st and she has had a week long event. On Sunday we went to her in-laws and had a birthday dinner for her. On Wednesday we went to Magleby's and had some lunch. Doc came over and gave his rendition of "go shorty its yo birthday" and made us have a real good laugh. Everyone wants to celebrate with her and it's no surprise why. Jamie is one of the most supportive, loving, and thoughtful person I know. I will tell you what, it's hard to be the little sister of someone like her.
Hard as it may be she has always been someone I look up to. Sometimes I am down right annoyed of her perfection (she is rolling her eyes at this comment). She cooks, cleans, mothers two children, and is always doing something to help someone out!
She is one of my best friends (I have two other sisters that fall under the same category) and I know anything I say everyone that knows Jamie would agree a million times over.

Jamie had been there with me (my other sisters too) through the good and the bad times. I don't know what I would do growing up with my big sister to lead the way.
