If a picture is worth a thousand words...

And I am a chatter box, then....
I would just plan on all my posts from now till the end of time have at least a dozen pictures and be a billion words long!
What can I say, I love taking pictures! I must have inherited that from my mother-in-law.

Anyways it seems like we have been so busy lately I need to take a second and catch up on all that has been going on!

Brandon got a new job at the start of June! This is something that we have been waiting for, for what feels like forever. We feel so blessed for Brandon to have this opportunity. He is a much happier hubby to be in a new environment and doing something more his speed. Irey and I couldn't be more proud of him!

We are still on the hunt for a house. We were planning on building but it wasn't working out as smoothly as we wanted it too. You know what they say, sometimes when things don't work out, something better comes along and it is so true. The market has had a lot more homes listed since January when we started looking. We have found some great houses at great prices. Unfortunately they are all short sale, so even though we have some offers going out, it's still a waiting game.

This is one house we have a current offer on. Cute hu? Well, there is + and - to every house so we are learning to live with in our reality and setting our expectations on what we CAN afford and what we CANNOT afford, not a fun life lesson. But we just feel so blessed to be able to buy in this economy and hopefully soon get my salon set up in our new home. My dream come true!

Irey and I began the adventure of potty training yesterday. So far, so good. Today is day two and although we have attempted day one a couple times, this is the first time we have made it to day two. It's not that I even WANT to potty train her it's just that she really WANTS to be potty trained. She will be all about it so then I finally give in and say OK lets do it, she will do great for half a day and loose interest and refuse. Where she is so young, I feel no need to push it on her. So this is the first time she hasn't lost interest and has kept consistent. So we might be actually making it this time. And if not, no big deal, changing diapers can just be so much more convenient.

We are just trying to stay busy this summer because we have ZERO plans other then enjoy the weather and work on getting into a house. My focus has just been to enjoy my little family and the simple pleasures in life like taking walks in the wonderfully good weather and enjoying whatever time we have together even if it's doing nothing at all! I am also planning on doing a mommy and me swimming lessons and just try to be the pool as much as we can this summer. I cut work back to one day a week and two at the very most! I am just working much longer days which kills my back but I just enjoy work a lot more when I can get in my mode and just go go go. Plus, it leaves more days that I don't have to leave Irey.

I am just trying not to let the house hunt consume us and let that be the ONLY thing we ever think or talk about! I am trying to remember what is real and important in my life. The number one thing on my list is Brandon and Irey (they are a package deal). Irey is growing up so fast and I am just trying to savor every moment before we make the leap and have another kid (not a birth announcement, just saying) and she gets knocked off her pestle.

Well hoefully I will be able to keep this baby updated with some fun things we do this summer!?

Ditto about the beautiful kitchen! One other things about potty training - I did my first two kids just 1/2 days for the first several days. Trying to do a full day made my patience basically non-existent, so 1/2 days worked much better for me until they got the hang of it! Good luck with everything!

That's awesome about Brandon and the job! Work is always easier when you like what you do. And that house is so pretty!! I love that it already has a lawn - that's such a luxury to us! Hopefully things will work out soon and you guys will get the right house for you. Good luck with the potty-training!

I love that kitchen! Probably because it's almost exactly like mine. Except the pantry isn't in the middle in mine, which isn't very convienent. Good luck!
