Big Girl Bed!

On Saturday we bought Irey a big girl bed!

Since we are hopefully moving in the next few months I thought we better get Irey adjusted to a big bed because she wont be sleeping in a crib in the new house. So my adventure began, hunting for the cutest bed with out spending a lot.
I found this cute place on Main Street in AF called, Tammi's Finders Keepers. It's a darling store that sells old furniture that has been redone and some custom furniture along with custom decor. The bed there was the one I had been looking for, perfect.

Saturday Brands and CJ got in dad's old Chevy and picked up the bed in AF. Irey was more then excited to go on this adventure and kept saying, "Daddy's in truck and Irey's big girl bed." Over and over. After we got it all put together Irey wasn't sure what to think about it at first.

Since we were setting up her bed during nap time, she didn't get a nap so when night came she was very irritable. Her first night wasn't a huge success and I was super nervous that I had lost my mind in thinking to put such a little thing in such a big bed. Well, we survived that first night and since then she has done awesome! She has gone down for naps and bed time better then before because she is excited about her bed. Because the bed is so tall she wont climb down and will still wait for us to come get her, which is great because that was the part I was dreading most about being done with the crib!

She woke up from her nap on Sunday so proud of herself and was saying, "Irey go night night in her big girl bed!" And had the cheesiest smile! I feel so relived that she is doing so good and this wasn't a huge mistake.

The only sad thing is now she looks SO big. Every day she is less and less my baby. Going on the potty, sleeping in a big girl bed, and talking like she is 5, it's all happened so fast! We are trying to enjoy every second of her life before it flashed right before my eyes!
