We celebrated Halloween on Saturday. It was a beautiful Saturday until about 3 pm, go figure.
We started off the morning with a crew of guys from our new ward showing up at 9 am to pull out all the weeds in our yard. Well I would like to call it a yard, but a yard has grass and is something you are able to play and walk on but our "yard" use to be (before 9am yesterday) mud and weeds taller then a tall man. It is amazing what a group of guys can do in a hour. They came with their gloves, trucks, shovels, and so forth and had all the weeds gone by 10 am. Now my non-yard is a beautiful mud-yard with no scary weeds, come next summer it will be a actual yard. I am SOOOO thankful to the ward members who jumped at a opportunity to serve and made my home look a little less abandoned ;)
We spent the day being lazy and just enjoying Brandon's new surround sound and the warm fire. Then at 5pm we ventured over to my parents house for the real festivities! Jamie and I made soups, Amy brought the doughnuts and caramel apples, and Mark and Jackie got lots of pizza and some cute pumpkin bread bowls for our soups. It was the perfect Halloween meal:)
We waited out the rain and then went Trick or Treating with all the grand kids. It was a blast for Irey to go around Gma's neighborhood (which up until two weeks ago was hers) with all her cousins and get candy. She was in HEAVEN! She for sure didn't want to stop and kept saying, "Next HOUSE!" After most of her cousins were tired and went home, Irey the die hard, kept on going. Brands and I had so much fun watching her run up to the door and do the whole bit. We figure next Halloween we wont be able to trick or treat the WHOLE neighborhood like we did this year because of baby on the way, so we fit in all the houses we could, till there was no more houses left;)
Each Holiday reminds me of how fast our kiddos are growing up and it makes me kinda sad but it's such a fun adventure at the same time. It's a good thing that I have a baby on the way because I am sure missing my baby Irey. It's hard to see your baby get so big!
Here are some Halloween pictures for the last few years...

Irey is too cute, I would have given her all my candy if she'd gone to my house. I'm so excited that you guys are in your house, that's awesome!! I'm anxiously awaiting pictures, too. :)
