Day #11

Day 11 – What’s in your makeup bag?

Well the majority of my life my makeup has been in a bag UNTIL I moved into our house and was able to dedicate a drawer to my makeup! I LOVE having a makeup drawer... it makes it so easy and I can stay organized AND I don't get that nasty makeup mess that makes me feel like I need a new makeup bag every few months!

A few "can't live with out" Items:

Lets start with just saying ALL my makeup brushes... you can NEVER have enough. If you don't have nice makeup brushes, invest in some, they WILL save you money in the long run and make your makeup application 10x easier! I have never been disappointed in ANY of MAC's brushes and I think they are reasonably priced and they last forever. My favorite eyeshadow brush I have had for 7 years and it's still in perfect condition.

Powder. You skin is the most important asset to your face and for me I don't need coverage as much as I need color. So I love the mineral powder by MAC because a little goes a long way and it last all day. Plus I don't like to feel like my face is heavy so I love that it covers well while being so light.

Mascara. I love the L'Oreal Voluminous! I have NO lashes so this saves my life while not being expensive at all. I learned about it in a makeup class in hair school and haven't gone back since. I think it the only cosmetic thing I ever buy at the grocery store, but it's like $6 so I feel like I really can afford to switch out my tube every 6 weeks like your suppose to.

Shadow. I don't know of any other makeup line that comes close to my love for MAC eyeshadow. Eyeshadow is my favorite part of my makeup so I like to have a lot of different fun colors to keep things interesting. Plus I get 30% off MAC, so I can afford it which makes me happy. I just love how well pigmented they are and all the fun color choices. Every time I order a new shadow it's like Christmas.

I use to just buy the individual shadows but have learned to do the refill palette because it's much cheaper, same amount, and takes up less room. The actual palette is like $5 and then each refill is $11 (with out my discount). So when you run out of a shadow you can just switch out the one palette. If you were to buy 4 MAC eye shadows you would spend $60 but if you buy 4 MAC refills and just put them in a palette you spend $44.

Also, the best little tool for shadow I have found is the MAC Paints. PERFECT to use before you apply your shadow. You use a very little all over your eye lid and then apply your shadow. You use 1/2 as much shadow and it lasts all day with no creasing. It's the best!

Ahhh I love makeup! It's just a girls best friend!

I know how you feel about the make-up bag. Hopefully one day I will get a drawer just for my make-up, until then next time you do an order call me over and tell me what to get because your face is always so beautiful.
