Day 14 – A TV show you're currently addicted to.
I wish there was more ME time in a day where I could watch TV and not feel guilty but sadly, if the TV is on it's mostly Dora the Explorer. BUT we do have Netflix which SAVES my life when it's bedtime and I cannot sleep. So when I don't have a good book to read I will usually catch up on one of my two favs...
The Office, I am always in need of a good laugh!
Or BONES. If you don't watch this show, you really should! I just adore it!
But if you know me at all, which if you read my blog you should at least know this about me, I LOVE to read. I would choose to read above a lot of things in my spare time. So, just because I am always looking for a good book I will share a few of my favs with you readers out there!
These is my Words. OH, it's like Gone with the Wind but SO much better. The main character, Sarah, is one of my favorite characters of all time. It's a diary, which I normally don't like but Turner really pulled it off and made this novel a book you seriously would own and reread time and time again! It's a classic!
Love Walked In. This is just a feel good love story, that's not your typical boy meets girl and then fall in love, it has a much better twist to it. I really liked it because it also ended in a unexpected way. It was just a good, easy, likable read!
A Total Waste of Makeup. The title alone just fits this book PERFECTLY, every chapter had me laughing. It's a single woman in LA who goes through the pains of dating and she describes it all in a very sarcastic and humorous way that keeps you turning the pages. I love the change of pace this book has and it's not so typical outlooks!
Girls with a Pearl Earring. This is Historical Fiction, I think that my favorite genera, it's story is based on a actual painting. I love the perspective it gives for a lower class female of that time period, normally you read about royalty or nobility but this book gave life to the working class. I can't really put my finger on WHY I love historical fiction so much but this novel really captured my attention and kept me interested from start to finish. I saw the movie... wasn't even close to as good as the book.
Hunger Games. Obviously this is almost every one's favorite series and if you haven't read it, well your missing out! My favorite series of all time!
The Mortal Instrument Series. City of Bones, City of Ash, and City of Glass. This is fantasy and like most fantasies, when you explain what they are about, it just sound weird and doesn't do the book justice. But I LOVED these books and am rereading them again before I read the prequel that came out. It has all the good stuff you want out of these kinds of books, enough said ;)
